A Bittersweet Solo Grow

It’s time to get my hands dirty and focus on what we set out to do; Grow exceptional Marijuana.

Two days into Germination and my babies are popping! Sour Diesel is a little slow on the uptake but I’m confident they will join the others soon.

So here we grow… my first solo Autoflowering grow in the indoor tent has begun. I picked all the plants based on equal parts Indica, Sativa and Hybrid in order to satisfy everyone’s taste. (I’m a die hard, wake & bake Sativa gal myself.) The Sour Diesel and Durban Poison are my faves here. Because it is all happening under my roof now, I am fully set up to monitor every step of the process, from germination, to harvest and drying. When Jay and I did this together as a team, he was on top of what went where and when. After his sudden passing in July, I was left floundering with what he had started and I needed to finish. Fortunately, everything fell into place.

Day 4 and mostly all seedlings are potted and ready to roll while some are still a bit stubborn. (I’m looking at you, Sour Diesel). Humidity and temperature are in a good place and it’s time to let these magnificent weeds do their thing. I find it remarkable that for me, growing has become my lifeline to Jay. My grow room is my place to connect with him. I play music he would enjoy and I talk to him about this, that and the other thing. My hands in dirt and tears rolling down my cheeks, I end each visit there satisfied with the grow and appreciative of what Jay bestowed on to me. He passed on his passion for growing and left me all the tools and knowledge to ensure that I too, can nurture that passion of my own.

So here we grow again. It’s DAY 6 and the 3 SOUR DIESELS have popped and have been potted, notes and dates recorded. I blow a kiss to my beloved and forge on with the day ahead and the new harvest on the horizon.

Wishing our readers peace & love, today and always.

I miss this guy every minute of every day.
