This is how we change store bought HARIBO gummy candies into a medicinal treat with 10mgs of THC

We use organically grown flower, usually a Hybrid trim to make our gummies. When I have a particular strain in abundance, I will make a special batch of gummies using that strain, which in the past has been Blue Dream, a Sativa combo of Durban Poison and Crystal Meth, and most recently, Purple Punch. The flower is decarboxylated to enact the THC potency. The decarb’d flower is then soaked in GRAVES 190 proof grain alcohol over night in the freezer. After lots of shaking, the ethanol extracts the THC potent terpenes into the tincture. I use a safe heating source to evaporate off half the alcohol and the tincture is then ready to use.

Ten coats of tincture is applied to the thick sugar coating of the candy. These are small batch productions but we don’t cut corners in this labor of love. With each coat, the sugar holds the terpenes and takes on a more brown color, hence, the “dirty” look of the finished product. The THC is on the outside where you can see it, not dissolved inside as with distillate. The benefits of making ethanol extraction edibles is simple. Enjoy the whole plant terpenes medicinal value included in the end result. While distillate edibles may look better, they are missing the full spectrum medicinal qualities our tincture coated gummies provide.
