Jane Dough’s Baked Goods

How it all got started

It was March 2020 when our world shut down. Everyone was scared shitless, including me. I kept asking myself if it was safe to keep smoking. One day I got a text from an old friend, Doug (name changed). He said he had a gift for me, could I stop by his business. The next day, I stopped by to see what he had for me. Sitting on the bed of his pickup was a star wars lunch box. Oh boy, just what I wanted! Was it lunch, an old PB&J? I opened it up and there inside were 2 large baggies filled with some amazing home grown flower. It smelled SO GOOD. I thought to myself, what I am going to do with this, I was trying not to smoke for fear of damaging my lungs and getting COVID. Doug suggested I start making cannabutter. He showed me a great website to learn how and that was the beginning of JDBG’s. In the beginning, there was a learning curve for sure. But after a few attempts, and lots of taste testing, I finally perfected my first cookie, an oatmeal chocolate chip. It was delicious and the effects even better. I shared my baked goods and they kept coming back for more. I continued making cannabutter and experimenting with other cookies. Snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, sugar cookies., fudge They were all so yummy and effective. Every Friday eve, Momma Bear and I would have happy hour on my front porch and dream of the day when we could set up a table at a farmers market and sell our goods.

Eat me for a good time!

My daughter needed to test out her new label maker. These are my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with halloween eye decorations. They didn’t last long!

Fast forward

After two years of only baking for family and friends, my partner in crime and I found out about these cannabis events happening, a bazaar of sorts where vendors of all types were showcasing their cannabis goods to people. Flower, pre-rolls, rosin, dabs, edibles, infused sauces, honey, hash, the list goes on. It was Disney Land for cannabis users. It was a HOLY CRAP moment. We decided we needed to do this. It was what we talked about 2 years ago on my front porch.

So we did. We created business names for ourselves. This was the birth of Jane Dough’s Baked Goods and Momma Bear Meds. Both of us have a design background, so we started designing our labels and packaging, signage and everything else needed to set up a tent and table and become a part of this incredible community. And that was just the beginning.

This is what a Mary Jane Social
looks like. We come to your home,
set up and let the fun begin.
